Terms and Conditions

By confirming your order with us you are accepting the following terms and conditions.

The Fancy Dress Experience is our trading name. In these terms we refer to ourselves as The Fancy Dress Experience.






A contract is formed when your order is shipped and not before. Your order is accepted when your payment has cleared.

Every effort is taken to protect the privacy of your card details. However we shall not be responsible should your details be intercepted or used by a third party through no fault of our
own.

Ordered goods will normally delivered  within 3/4 working days (U.K mainland) of your order being accepted, delivery times depend on the shipping method you choose. If we do not deliver your goods within 14 working days of your order we will issue a full refund.

The risk of goods being damaged or lost during delivery will be passed to you when goods have left our premises for delivery.

All orders are posted out recorded delivery via Royal Mail. If you are unable to sign for the goods they may after some time be returned to us. Should this happen you will be contacted to confirm that you still require the goods, if so another outbound postal charge will be required, if you no longer require the goods we will refund the price of the goods less a 20% restocking fee. Please note we do not refund the postage charge unless the fault is entirely down to The Fancy Dress Experience.

At the time of posting, your goods will correspond to the description on the website and should be free from defects of workmanship and shall be of satisfactory quality. If the goods are not of satisfactory quality and not fit for the purpose please return them to us with 7 days of receipt to receive a refund in full. A full refund is only given if costumes have a manufacturing defect. We inspect outfits before they leave our warehouse.

The current prices shown on our website are the prices you will be charged at time of paying for the goods. Prices may change from time to time. Carriage is shown when you have finished shopping and as you go to the checkout. Please select your carriage charge. Next day delivery is available if the item is in stock at our warehouse and your order is placed before 3pm Monday to Friday. Please note next day delivery ordered on Friday before 3pm will be delivered on Monday before 5pm. This excludes Saturday, Sunday, and bank holidays and applies to U.K mainland only.

We hope that all the items on our website are currently in stock or available to us over night. Errors do occasionally arise so we have to offer all our products subject to availability.

1st class recorded from £5.00 depending on size and weight.

This is an economical way of postage it takes approximately 3 - 4 working days Via the Post Office. We recommend you allow 1 week for this service as this is not guaranteed and we are not responsible for the time it takes. You have to sign for the parcel.

Next Day recorded from £10.00 depending on size and weight.
It may be worth an email or phone call to check that the item you require so urgently is in stock. If you do email us please remember to check your emails regularly as we will reply to let you know the status of your order.

 

Order before 3pm Monday to Friday (orders received on Friday will have to go on a Saturday delivery if you require it next day).

Saturday Guaranteed from £15.00 depending on size and weight.

Use this service for urgent items.

IF YOU ARE LOCAL TO HEADINGLEY in LEEDS our shop is open 10am - 6pm Monday to Friday and 10am - 5:30pm Saturday and most Sundays.

EUROPE from £20.00 depending on size and weight.

This service takes approximately 6-7 working days.

REST of the WORLD £25.00 depending on size and weight.

This service takes approximately 14 working days.

Fancy Dress Experience will not be held responsible for any delays in postage. Compensation or refunds will be granted after proof of loss or damage up to the value of the order.

Fancy Dress Experience use Royal Mail to send out parcels. However we are not responsible for late delivery due to weather condtions and strike action. Should the Royal Mail have strike action we will endeavour to send out parcels via a courier this may incur extra costs for some services.

Fancy Dress Experience do their best to make sure you recieve your goods on time and in good condition. To help us please leave plenty of time so you can try costumes on to know if they fit.

RETURNS POLICY.

The Fancy Dress Experience try to check all items before they are posted out. If on the off chance that  the items you ordered are damaged in anyway we will replace it at no extra cost as soon as we have received the original item back. All damaged stock has to be returned to us within 14 working days of receipt of parcel for a full refund.

If you have ordered an item and just decide you no longer require then it has to be received back by us within 7 working days on the condition that we have agreed by phone or email to refund this order. Please note we do not refund postage on unwanted items and a restocking charge may apply.

Refunds will rarely be given on seasonal stock ie Halloween,Christmas etc after the event.

Returns address is on your delivery note or invoice.
